We have known that Islamic morality is a moral or moral system based on Islam, that is, starting from the aqidah revealed by Allah to His Prophets and Messengers, which is then conveyed to the Ummah.
Among the many characteristics of Islamic morality, there are a number of them:
1. Absolute virtue
2. Overall goodness
3. Stability
4. Authority that must be obeyed
5. Comprehensive supervision
In connection with Islamic morality, Drs. Sahilun A. Nasir said that Islamic morality revolves around:
a. The purpose of every Muslim's life is to devote himself to Allah, to achieve His pleasure, to live in prosperity physically and spiritually, in the present and future life.
b. With confidence in the truth of God's revelation and the sunnah of His Messenger, it has logical consequences, as the main standards and guidelines for every Muslim moral. He gave sanctions to morals in his love and strength to God without feeling any external pressures.
c. His belief will be the day after / retaliation, encouraging people to do good and try to be as good as possible, with all their devotion to God.
d. Islam is not new moral, which is contrary to the teachings and soul of Islam. Derived from the Qur'an and Al-Hadith, interpreted by mujtahid scholars.
e. The teachings of Islamic morality cover all aspects of life and human life based on the principle of goodness and free from all evil. Islam does not only teach but enforce it, with the divine promise that the Just is just. Moral demands are in accordance with the whisper of conscience, which by nature tends to goodness and hates evil.
Thus it can be affirmed that Islam is very concerned about good manners. Obviously the Prophet Muhammad was sent to perfect Morals. She is the one who can be used as a moral guide or an example that must be applied in daily life.
